The 250 Bedded General Hospital Khulna, established in 1938, is a medical institution in Bangladesh, also known as “Sadar Hospital.”
It is situated in the southern part of Bangladesh, in the city of Khulna, near the Khulna Zilla Stadium and on the bank of the river Vairab. It is one of the oldest institutions in Khulna and has a glorious history of delivering healthcare services to the population.
Before 1938, this hospital was known as Sadar Urban Dispensary. Over the years, a plan was taken to establish a modern hospital, and thus General Hospital Khulna was established.
In its early days, the hospital started its journey with only 50 beds and almost no infrastructure. Initially, primary healthcare services were provided. Later, many other facilities, including pathological, radiological, and emergency services, were introduced.
The mission of General Hospital Khulna is to provide healthcare services to the surrounding community affected by common diseases and health problems.
We are committed to serving the community, particularly the urban population as well as people living in the surrounding rural areas.
The care and safety of our patients are our first priority. Establishing and maintaining good relationships with patients and their attendants is one of our core principles.
Honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity are our strengths. Our doctors are committed to keeping their knowledge and skills up to date through Continuous Professional Development throughout their professional careers.
The vision of the hospital is to provide a comprehensive, one stop healthcare solution for the people of the southern part of the country.
The outpatient departments serve more than 600 patients every day. We have state of the art diagnostic facilities, operation facilities, a modern Intensive Care Unit, and both indoor and outdoor healthcare services.
Our vision is to ensure world class healthcare solutions for everyone.
