280 days (40 weeks) are added to the first day of your last period. This is Naegele's rule. It assumes a 28-day cycle, so if yours is longer or shorter the date is shifted by the difference.
Usually not. About 1 baby in 20 arrives on the estimated date and the rest come earlier or later. Birth between 37 and 42 weeks is considered normal. Treat the date as a window, not a fixed day.

Since 2016 the World Health Organization has recommended at least 8 antenatal contacts. Bangladesh's national guideline sets a minimum of 4, but more visits are better, especially with high blood pressure or diabetes.
