Your result

What this is based on

The national Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) schedule of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). TCV joined the routine programme on 1 August 2026 per the DGHS EPI circular.

Common questions

Under the government EPI programme: BCG and OPV zero dose at birth; Pentavalent, OPV, fIPV and PCV at 6 weeks; Pentavalent, OPV and PCV at 10 weeks; Pentavalent, OPV, fIPV and PCV at 14 weeks; MR first dose at 9 months; and MR second dose plus the typhoid vaccine at 15 months. All are free at government centres.

No. Earlier doses are not wasted and nothing restarts. Go to the EPI centre and the remaining doses are given in order. Skipping a vaccine because it is overdue is the real mistake.

The typhoid conjugate vaccine (TCV) joined routine EPI on 1 August 2026. It is one dose at 15 months and may be given in the same session as the second MR dose. For children who passed 15 months before that date, ask at your EPI centre.

Mild fever, soreness or slight swelling at the injection site is common and usually settles within a day or two. But high fever, convulsions, difficulty breathing, a rash, or a child who becomes floppy needs a health centre or doctor without delay.
